What a Great Day!

Now before we begin. I did not take these photos. They were posted on Surfline. However, these are the conditions on Dec 5th.

Now some days are good and some are better. Well, I really don't know about that, but sometimes you just sit back and realize "Hey, This is a pretty cool day!" On Wednesday there was a big surf advisory. I went out into the Water and attempted to make it out to the break, but because of all the white wash I was not able to reach the surf. I decided to paddle out in this. Yes This did not work so well.

So after that I went to La Jolla cove and went out in this.

Now Truth be known. I really went out in this. Now I did not catch anything, I just paddled for a while. I did make the break point, but decided didn't need to be broken.

I missed one wave and was caught between sets. That was neat to see this wave about to crash on your head. That was when I decided "Walter time to go in now."

So Yesterday I decided to go out to Leucadia. And it I looked much like this. Woops over the falls again. Until Well, I must say, I dropped into about a 10 to 12 foot wave going right. I make it and I was riding in the curl. So the wave started to close out in front of me and then it reformed at about half the size of the original wave. So now I am super excited, until it happened again. Now I riding the third wave of this take off and well I fell. It was sooooo Cool.. I then thanked God and said. Hey I have to go be George Bailey now.

I telling you it was a cool moment.

So to close out his entry. I then found some Meatloaf mix and made stuffed peppers and then went to be George Bailey. I know this is an odd entry and it is all over the place. Just know this. It was a great day and hope your having a great day too.

That's the look. That what, how, is this all happening crazy look. Well, How Cares! I just wanted to say "Thank you God for a Great Day!"
Love the Walter

Lost Blog...And I added some new features

I wrote this and never poste it. So here it is. Kind of dated, but it is ok, because I added some new features...

Such as polls, slide shows and other neato things. I am now trying out how to play music. Neato again.

Baseball....The first recorded baseball game in 1846 when Alexander Cartwright's Knickerbockers lost to the New York Baseball Club. The game was held at the Elysian Fields, in Hoboken, New Jersey. In 1858, the National Association of Base Ball Players, the first organized baseball league was formed.

I had the opportunity to go to that field this year and run the bases. It is currenlty a little league field. So I looked real fast.

I love this sport (within reason I wouldn't marry it or anything like that. However, it seems that now I have a pickel. As many of you know I really don't like the Red Sox being a Yankee Fan. And others know I really don't like anything from Colorado, and since both the Red Sox and Colorado are in the World Series what to do?

I will say it again. "So what to do?"

Lets go back a couple of weeks. Lets see what has happed. For the past three weeks in the month of October, I have been reclaiming my home. The actually physical structure in which I am to rest my head. I have painted rooms, added new carpet, new doors, and have dropped of many things to good will, and have basically emptied all my closets except for one in my room.

And lets us not forget the obsession I have with having a clean garage. Yes, I had to clean that thing about 6 times since I started this project.

So what? Well, I have traveled the world this year, have met many wonderful people including and not excluding you. (please add your name there) I just don't want to miss anyone. "Walter your loosing us real fast please get to the point!"

Ok the point. Three years ago I was upset that Boston broke the curse. See the cures (Curse being that of Babe Ruth when the Red Sox traded him to the Yankees) was the fun of being a Yankee fan and of course what upset me more than the curse was the leaving of Kasey to go to Colorado. All that happened three years ago. Now! What is really important? Is it really being that upset about a curse being broken or holding an entire State responsible for Kasey. No! In the grand scale of things neither of these things are important. But what is important are the following things to me. Sorry, I can't answer what is important to you.

One. You are important to me. All the people that I have met and shared apart of their lives with me are important. I really don't rank who is more important than others, sorry, I don't have a your a better friend than that one list, but I do know who befriends me out of common interest of enjoying live, verse who befriends me to take. Now the takers are important too, they fill the experience of life that makes us all need to be needed so we give. The ballance is of course not to give more than needed to keep you or in this case me healthy mentally and physically.

Two. Nothing. This area is desiganated for temporary things that are important. "Like who will win the World Series."

Three. Allowing buffer room for temporary things to be entered into area two. Kind of like an on deck circle for things. This area is

So this weekend. Well, Gabe came down and stayed in the Guest Room. I made dinner for us on Saturday. Sunday, Chad came over and we watched football we split a sandwitch. Maria stopped by as well and helped finish the cleaning of the living room she ate nothing. Malia (not Maria) came down after her play and we had dinner with Justin his wife, daughter and their roomate at the house. Gwyne, Justin's wife made a dinner and brought it over and we ate it. It was good.

This is not earth shattering news.

Hey look Now Fred is with the People!

Fred, or as we sometimes call him "Funny Fred" is also in a play.

The name escapes me at the moment, but I will get it soon. I just remembered because Malia told me "Inspecting Carol" Thank you Malia. It is playing at the Cabrillo Playhouse in San Clemente.

So anyway this is Fred showing great emotion.

This is Fred happy in the play

This is Fred Sad in the play

This is Fred making a mental Joke in the play

This is Fred trying to figure out why he is in the Play.

Fred now remembering why he is in the play.

Because he likes this guys hat. And Fred will do almost anything to be near a cool hat.

Now all jokes aside about Fred. The play was Great. It had a lot of energy and had an entertaining story line. The Crowd really enjoyed it. But more importantly I enjoyed it. Well since I was there watching it. Yes, I am a part of the crowd and it was nice to know that we were all enjoying the show, otherwise, I would think I had some type of weird type of Man Crush on Fred and that is just silly.

Here are a few more action shots and I recommend you taking the time and see it.

Where Has He Been?

I guess the question for me is how do I start this blog? Really much has happened since my last entry on October 16th, and I don't want to bore you, yet I need to write a reasonable report.

So Lets Start in with light information and go from there.
First as you can see. Well, if you turn your head sideways I have officially broke the 200lbs mark. Now that is not the biggest thing ever, but it is pretty neat.

Also, I hosted Thanksgiving Dinner for the first time in two years.

This is a view from the Good-Year Blimp coverage of the meal.

Look New China! The Set Came with a really cool Gravy Boat

So How Showed up for dinner.

Well, Fred as we call him "Funny Fred" and we had as you can see my Dad, we call him "Insane Dad". You can See Malia was there, "Bob the neighbor calls her Moo-lee-a"

Chad was there! He pealed over 10lbs of potatoes. He is quite the pealing machine.

Chad tried to make a funny joke during the football game and just wind up breaking the cover to the food platter. It was funny because it was not funny.

That is why we don't call him funny Chad. Even though Most times Chad does make funnies. Like the time he said "The clerk just wanted to see what 210 looked like." Total out of context and I am not going to explain that.

Finally Max and Lucky were at dinner. Notice their shinny eyes. That is because they are dogs. I did not set them a seat at the table, because they really don't care about the new china and could care less about the Gravy Boat.

However, interesting news Tim Yates has been teaching Max how to do Calculus in his head.

Tim says "Max Sit" Max Sits. Then "Max do Calculus in your head" Max gives him this quizzical look as if he is trying to solve the problem. I really think he is trying, I just don't think we will ever know if he has solved the problem. Tim is convinced that he is now a higher educational dog trainer.

This is Jeff Allen. He Really does do Calculus. He is an engineer for San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station. He also plays Ernie in the play. His wife Katherine plays Mother Bailey.

Not only is Jeff a cool guy, but he helps sneaks me out during intermission so I can smoke.

This here is Glenda Wright. She is playing the roll of Aunt Tilly. She is a fun lady. The first night she and Robert Purcell, who is playing Uncle Billy, met me in the "Green Room" to go over a scene she listen to me read and then looked at Robert and said "Robert, help the boy out, show him how to learn his lines." I knew right there I was total out of my league and listen with both ears.

About a week later she looked at me and said. "Wow! do you have patience!" Then kissed my face and said "Your going to be alright! Good Job" That was when I knew everything was going in the right direction.

Now this is interesting.. Here is Robert! He is the Shorter one standing and reading. More about him next blog. Cool Guy! Then there is Michael as Potter in the Wheel Chair, and Frank as the Goon.

Actually I am not quite sure what is so Interesting, but I do know that these three Guys are great Actors and fun to be around. No I guess that is interesting.

Here are some more of the cast in action

Katherine Allen as Ma Bailey.

She is Jeff's wife we talked about Jeff earlier.

She has her own identity as well. Very nice lady

Bill Goff...

He plays Clarence the guardian Angel. Neat news about Bill he was a Prebyterian Minster and now works for the IRS. What a combination for a guardian Angel. "I'll Take it!"

Now I am spiritually and financially looked after.

From Left to Right!

Stephen Saatjian... Mr. Martini
Jeff Allen... Erine
Blurry Picture of Frank Aranda...Goon and Mr. Welch

And Christopher Veal... Burt. Opening night I kissed "Burt" On stage in one of the scenes. He was not quite ready for that.
Did get a laugh though.

Dennis Paulson plays Mr. Gower..

The two boys are

Noah Canty...Peter Bailey
Casey Corbett... Pete Bailey

From Right to Left:
The Tallest one that is...
Linsey Martensen she plays Miss Carter.. She will also be playing Mary on the 13 and 15 of Decemeber.

Parissema Movaghar is playing Janie Bailey

and the small head without a face is Brooke Steuckrath.. She plays Zuzu. She will be posted later don't worry. She is as cute as a button.

Here is Matt Dodd.. He plays Brother Harry
and left of him is Stacy Newton.. Violet Peterson

Let us say that in the Beginning Matt was not too positive on my acting ability. He didn't say anything, but you can see it. So later on during the production he came up to me and said.

Man, I was scared when I met you. I said because of my strong personality. No, he said, because you couldn't act.

Thanks Matt. "Cool Dude"

So this is Mary Bailey or as she like to be called Jennifer Hartline.

She is a very talented. After I met her I asked Malia if she thought she would go out with me. Malia said "No!" I said "Why?" She said "Because of her boyfriend Cory. " I said "So if I get rid of Cory you would be Ok?" She said "No!" What a bummer that was.

Anyway, it turns out Cory is a old friend of the Hirchag's so well I guess he is family. Doesn't that just suck.

A side note. She wears this perfume that I swear has some type of animal pheromone in it.

Speaking of Pheromones it seems that this tiger liked me. She saw me got up and then "sprayed" looked in my direction and roared.

Malia's mother said. "I think she likes you!" Great I am George Baily and the only pussy coming my way weights more than 300lbs and will eat me alive if I don't perform. Well at least she has pretty eyes.

Love this Ape. I think it is neat that he is a Rodin fan.

Anyway, I also want to mention the a few more people of the cast. I just don't have photos of them they are

Ginger Griffith... She plays Mrs Martini
and Brandee Proctor... She plays Mrs. Thompson.

So Far So Good. I Think! or at least me and the Ape are contemplating!

Thank you all for coming to last weeks opening weekend, and looking forward to seeing the rest of you during the run.

God Bless and Happy Thanksgiving for everything everyday!

Well, He is now George Bailey....

Well, it seems that I have landed my first lead roll in a play since I was in sixth grade.

Now that was an interesting play. I was living in Arizona with my father and Janice. As a matter of fact I was grounded during the production of the play for throwing a rock at my sister.

However, the good news is that the play was on my birthday and it seemed to get me out of my room.

Now at 35! Well, I really don't get grounded anymore and we are in October. (My birthday is in February) However last week when I was getting two additional certifications for sailing I was harassed by an officer in Oceanside for possibly being a homeless man.

It seems that I woke up early. I often do. Well, to go back to sleep I bought some coffee. While walking back to the boat an officer approached my and said "Hey, are you on drugs and are you homeless." He must work on his people skills. But anyway we soon discovered that was was just a guy on a sailing trip and we parted ways.

So after the trip I drove up to Orange County and auditioned for the Part. It must have been a good sight. I was in full beard, I was sea sick, I was running a fever, and best part of all I was reading the script on a third grade level.

So when I was asked to read a total of three times, I figured "I think I am going to be George Bailey!" Well, then on Monday I received an email from the director that said "Hey, good News you can be Ernie"

Well, I didn't respond! I decided to buy new carpet and paint my room, and get a job. I was tired of chasing non-sense. Then, well kind of just like George Bailey, I received a call from the director. "I would like for you to read for me again." I went back to Orange County and re-read.

He then shared with me. "Walter I looked at the photo I took of you on the day of the audition. then I looked at your head shot. There is no way these two people are the same." I then explained my experience with the Oceanside police and the fact I read with a fever the day of the audition.

So now reading at the level of a fourth grader. I nailed the part and now...
Well, I am George Bailey.

And I am very Excited and honored to be apart of this production.

I have been casted as George Bailey in the production of "It is a Wonderful Live!" and it is well, Wonderful!

There is many more updates, but currently that is the trump card. Now Remember we are writing again, but really who really reads this anymore anyway.

So the good news is now we can get back to the reason for this blog. That is less Hey, look what I am doing, and Hey,

"HE IS WITH THE PEOPLE!"

Walter Thank your for sharing this time...........................

Thank God We didn't Go to New York

Thank God We did not go to this Game! It seems that Vinny Testaverde (Number 16) is now playing receiver. Well, not really Vinny no longer is playing for the Jets.

However, I don't think it could have helped anyway. Good news for the Jets though. It seems that they now have the record on allowing the longest return for a kickoff in NFL history. It was 108 yards maybe even 109 yard return. Good Job special Teams.

Maybe if we did more J-E-T-S Jets! Jets! Jets! Chanting it would have confused the opposing team and maybe they would have just forfeited.

Back in California! Arrived Yesterday at about 3pm. Sat in the airport for a connecting flight to Orange County out of Los Angeles. Now if you drive this distance it takes about an hour. So how neat was it to have a three hour lay over. Very neat, and not to mention they would not allow us on the flight because it was over booked.

Cool! Anyway, now that I am back on the West Coast! Without layovers or delusions of possibly going to opening day to see the Jets. I decided it was time to go surfing again. So if you're looking for me I will be in the Water. Have a great opening day and hopefully your team did better than the Jets. Jets, wow, they are a professional football team and I really am a pro-surfer.

Oh, Yea I almost forgot!

Aloha Hawaii! It was a great time!

Celebrating Life is a Man Name John and Elvis!

This Man in the Barbie Towel is John Romero!

Here he is celebrating Life!

He is opening a bottle of champagne after a meal John prepared for us and his girlfriend Darcy on the beach.

We then all raised our glasses and made a toast. It was joyous and very Fiddler On The Roof like. Except we were a group of four chillin on a beach front instead of Russian Jews hiding from the Czar.

However, when toasting I always like singing in my "la kayim"! The final verse of the song is as follows....

"We'll raise a glass and sip a drop of schnapps in honor of
the great
good luck that favors you,
We know that when good fortune favors two such men, it
stands to reason,
we deserve it too!
To us and our good fortune!
Be happy, be healthy, long life!
And if our good fortune never comes,
Here's to whatever comes,
Drink la kayim, to life! "

After our toast John and Darcy are celebrating their excitement of knowing each other.

After which I was so moved I decided to go back out in the Water and celebrate with some surfing.

It was around sunset when I started and returned sometime just before it went pitch black. It was fun and a little nerve racking at the same time.

It was beautiful watching the sun go down. However, unlike California sunsets while surfing it the water is about 85 degrees and you forget it is time to go back in until you realize "Hey, wait I can't see the shore line anymore.

Well, this day took an unusual turn when we ran into Elvis.

He said "Aloha Walter, and how may I help you?"

I said "Still searching for this Captain Zero guy, Sir"

Elvis Replied "No search necessary just look into your heart and play the following section from my 1973 tour. Enjoy life and keep it simple! Aloha Walter! May your journey enrich the paths of other lives! And More important don't be afraid to allow other lives to enrich yours!"

"Thanks Elvis and Aloha!" And to all those who I have encountered over the past year, thank you! It has been amazing!
Walter
