Lucky Number #8 Yankees Win!
Note this. Yogi Introduced the Line up for the Yankees today. That was a good! Also I learned at last nights game there was a Yogi Berra Day. The first time back in the Stadium after some fight with Steinbrenner.
Here is that Yankee Historical Moment!
David Cone, New York Yankees
When: July 18, 1999 vs. Expos
Where: Yankee Stadium, New York
Line: 9 innings, 0 hits, 10 K's
Cone threw his perfect game on a day when the Yankees honored both Don Larsen and Yogi Berra, who had teamed as the battery for Larsen's perfect game in the 1956 World Series. Larsen threw out the ceremonial first pitch, which was caught by Yogi. Berra was back in Yankee Stadium after staying away fro several years, due to a feud with owner George Steinbrenner... The final out was pinch-hitter Ryan McGuire, who flied out to left to end the game. .
So It is My humble Opinion that if Yogi did not Announce the Line Up at todays Game!
It would have seemed that the Yankees might need me to be the new closer.
Thank God Mo came threw, and now we are not the only team in Major League Baseball without a save.
Not only that the 7 game loosing streak is over.
And even more important. Mom is doing better.
Thank God for all these small miracles.
It's Nothing but Blue Skies.
Have a Great Day
Walter
