Bon Année “Happy New Year from Paris!”

Bon Année “Happy New Year from Paris!”

It was and still is truly Amazing!

My personal introspect on the night!

As the Rain fell on us next to the Seine River, in the last moments of 2006, it gave the night a solemn feel, reflection of where we have been and where we are going.

A quizzical feeling that strangers should go to a unknown land in the rain to say goodbye to another year.

Then the rain suddenly stopped! The air seemed to warm, and energy of the city and the people started to change. As the city prepared, we shook off the rain and opened up our coats. Laughing and throwing coins along the riverside making our wishes and prayers for the next year ahead.

With all our preparation completed and our past now behind. Our quest was coming to it’s glorious conclusion. “New” replacing “Old”! And when 12 midnight happened, you could actually feel the harmonious bond between City and it’s people as the ship’s horns rejoiced, The Fire Works proclaimed, and the Eifel Tower Stood Proud! With all its loyal subjects declaring with much elation “Bon Année! Bon Année !

It was a Majestic Celebration!

Happy New Year Everybody.
